Wimborne Community Garden
We are proud to support Wimborne Community Garden. Established in 2022 in association with Beaucroft Foundation School, the garden is located within the tranquil school grounds and provides a sheltered space for all gardening abilities.
A quarter of all produce grown at the garden goes directly to the Food Bank, helping to provide some of the essential nutrition needed. Find out more below.
Help and support at Wimborne Food Bank+
Emergency Food
We provide emergency food for those who need it, including fresh fruit, vegetables and fresh bread when available. Food is available for as long as you need it.
While you are coming to the Food Bank we will take time to support you with finding practical solutions (such as debt advice or introducing you to other support) that will help improve your circumstances so that, eventually, you no longer need us.
Anyone can access the Food Bank however will need to ask for a voucher from one of the referrers listed above. If you have difficulty in requesting a voucher, please speak with us.
Acts 435
Wimborne Food Bank partners with Acts 435 – a giving website that allows people to donate directly to others for a specific need. 100% of every donation goes directly to those in need.
As a registered partner, we post requests onto the Acts 435 website for specific items for individuals in our community. People then donate towards the cost of these items as they feel able.
In 2023 this incredible initiative enabled Wimborne Food Bank+ to support 63 families facing real hardship, by providing them with anything from a fridge to flooring to school uniforms. Find out more about how you can support this below…
CMA Debt Advice and Budget Support
We provide free debt advice and support with budgeting. The CMA (Community Money Advice) team can meet with you onsite or at our money advice centre ‘The Lighthouse’. Help may include speaking with creditors, to relieve that stress as well help to create a workable budget, where needed.
