New session arrangements

Our sessions are changing due to the issues that we are all facing at the moment, these changes will reduce waiting time significantly. Therefore from now on you will be asked to wash your hands on arrival & then a pre-packed parcel will be issued on presentation of your food bank voucher. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.

3 days worth of food

We provide enough food for breakfast, lunch and tea for 3 – 4 days. Most of the food is tinned or in packets, such as rice and pasta. Sometimes we are also able to offer a very limited range of fresh fruit and vegetables and bread.

Budget Coaching and Debt Advice

Trained volunteers are available to offer support with budgeting and money management skills. They can refer you to an accredited Debt Adviser, if that is helpful.

FREE Cooking & Eating Well on a Budget courses

We will be holding free cooking courses in conjunction with the Friendly Food Club. In the meantime we are giving out recipe bags to families which contain everything to make a fresh, tasty meal or dessert which include all the ingredients, recipe card & there is even a YouTube video available for those who prefer to watch & follow it being made.

School Holiday Support

We work in partnership with local schools in Wimborne and Colehill to school holiday vouchers to families who receive free school meals.

These vouchers can be exchanged for a smaller food parcel aimed to help reduce the pressure during school holidays.

You can access these vouchers by getting in touch with your child’s school just before each main school holiday (Christmas, Easter and summer).
